When I was a kid, my Dad and I built a home darkroom which I basically lived in
I left home at 18, moved 400 miles north to Edinburgh and studied drumming
Since the age of 15 my favourite band has always been Metallica
I have a collection of vintage film cameras that has been described as an ‘obsession’
I’ve usually got my nose in some sort of business, marketing or mindset book - they’re so addictive!
I make a mean risotto

About Me

My photography career started back in the summer of ‘99 when I moved to London after graduating Nottingham Trent University.

I’d won The Young Designers Photography Award at the Islington Design Centre in the May, and following my first commission in the July, I packed up and headed to the city.

By chance I’d met a photographer who kindly given me his number with instructions to call him once I was in the capital.

So with my cameras in one bag, clothes in the other and a number scribbled on a scrap of paper, it all began.

The next 5 years were spent assisting fashion and portrait photographers, travelling to sunny locations, living the city life and test shoots, lots of test shoots! Back then everyone was still shooting roll film, polaroids and using light meters! How times have changed!

2005 saw me ‘make the break’ and I stopped carrying other peoples bags and started shooting full-time for my own clients.

Fifteen years on, a new and exciting chapter has started following a relocation to sunny Devon to be with my (now) fiancé.

It’s great to be in such a beautiful and vibrant county and I can’t wait to see what opportunities are out there.

But that’s enough about me….I’m here to help you!

I have always seen my shooting style as lifestyle portraiture, which naturally lends itself to modern Personal and Business Branding shoots.
